The College of Biological Science is a full service
college exemplar of University's land-grant mission
in teaching, research and outreach & engagement.
We provide leadership in the life-sciences at Ohio State
and conduct leading-edge research in 21st Century biology.
We currently have 1900 undergraduate majors that we
prepare for a wealth of successful and diverse careers:
in research, teaching, health-science professions, and
life-science related business, industry and government
positions. We currently train over 400 graduate students
to become productive, independent researchers in academia,
government & industry.
The Ohio
State University Medical Center is a partnership between
The Ohio State University Hospitals, OSU Hospitals East,
The Arthur G. James
Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and The
Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public
Health. The mission of the Medical Center includes
three elements - patient care, teaching and research.
This three-part mission, and a staff dedicated to its
fulfillment, distinguishes The Ohio State University
Medical Center as Ohio's premier medical center. More
than 1,100 medical staff and 4,200 support staff members
provide care to 33,000 inpatients and 625,000 outpatients
every year. Maintaining a balance between routine and
advanced care, University Medical Center is firmly established
in a select group of outstanding medical institutions.

State University College of Medicine is the nation's

Since 1936,
the Research Foundation has been supporting researchers
at OSU by providing pre and post award sponsored research
services. By "building a foundation for world class
research" through electronic research administration,
responsible stewardship of funds, and sound management
practices, the Research Foundation will continue to
be an important partner in Ohio State's research endeavors.
At Ohio State
the nation's premier research institution, education
extends beyond the classroom. Many students enhance
their academic and career experiences through our numerous
co-op, internship, and study abroad opportunities. Many
other students get involved in innovative research projects
